Picture
During these new times, the school system is heavily relying on technology to connect each student with every teacher. As a school district, we are ensuring that every student is connected to the classroom digitally. If your HGE student needs a mobile device laptop, please send an email to pr2111@dadeschools.net to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
If you already have a device at home, yours or property of M-DCPS, please take before August 24 to try logging into your student account using your username and password. If you are having trouble accessing your account or forgot your username or password, please contact the Main Office at (305)827-8830 for further assistance. We are here to help you!

2020-2021 School Year News

From the M-DCPS...
Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is committed to making the soundest decisions regarding our reopening, and we strongly believe in making those decisions based on science. Our approach is comprehensive in nature and it is informed by what we see happening internationally as well as by national guidance, state guidance, and local decisions.

M-DCPS strives to safely return students to the physical schoolhouse, but recognizes that doing so will not be possible while Miami-Dade County remains in Phase 1 of The Plan for Florida's Recovery. M-DCPS 2020 – 2021 proposed plan assumes schools will reopen once Miami-Dade County is in Phase 2. The plan is built to ensure the District can rapidly pivot, if necessary, in response to a shift back to Phase 1 or to a broader reopening under a transition to Phase 3.
From our Home at HGE...
Although we still do not know what this year holds ahead of us, we are dedicated to ensuring the best possible situation from whatever may occur.
At Hialeah Gardens Elementary, we are prepared to present all students with LEGO Education lessons virtually. We are working on ways to get students equipped with their own personal LEGO kits at home.
On top of LEGO education, we recently were designated GOLD for STEAM and we plan to continue that despite what our new classroom settings may look like.
More so, over the past couple of years we have taken such precautions in our students' social-emotional learning and health and we strive to continue working on helping their achieve success in and out of the academic setting.
