SUMMER 305

Summer305 is a variety of summer experiences to aimed to meet the unprecedented needs of our students, both academic and emotional, caused by the pandemic and continue to address achievement/opportunity gaps.

Program Offerings 


Smart Start Elementary Camp- Grades PK- Rising 5 (Schoolhouse Model) 
6/28/21 – 7/30/21; 8:30 AM – 1:50 PM


M-DCPS will provide a unique summer opportunity for Rising K through Rising 5 students to continue their learning and development through fun and engaging activities in the Schoolhouse. Students will participate in academic programming that will build on their math and reading foundations while learning priority skills that will get them ready for the next grade level.

Summer Reading Camp - Grade 3
​(Schoolhouse Model)
​6/28/21 – 7/30/21; 8:30 AM -1:50 PM

​• For Summer 2021, M-DCPS is expanding these camps to include eligible Grade 3 students who have experienced significant learning loss in foundational reading skills. The camp will be implemented in the Schoolhouse Model. 
Extended School Year (ESY) - Grades K-12
​6/28/21 – 7/30/21; 8:30 AM – 1:50 PM
​(Schoolhouse Model)

• The Extended School Year (ESY) program addresses special education and related services that are provided to students with disabilities beyond the regular school year in accordance with their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Services for medically fragile students will be customized either in-person or online.
